What type of services does Moore Options For Seniors Offer?

Since 2006 Moore Options For Seniors has been providing premium adult care to New Hampshire seniors. Personal Care Services is senior care for individuals who want to remain in their own homes but who are unable to do so independently. Additionally we have been providing residential assistance for elderly care to individuals who are willing to move in with a family.

Who qualifies for these services?

In order to qualify for assistance with elderly care under Medicaid seniors must apply for Medicaid through the long-term care coordinator at Service Link. Generally speaking in order to qualify for long-term adult care they must require extensive assistance in two or more activities of daily living. These are dressing, eating, toilet use, bathing, transferring or walking.

For those who do not qualify for Medicaid private pay senior care services are available at a rate starting at $22.00 per hour.

What services are provided by Personal Care Service Providers?

In addition to assistance with dressing, eating, toilet use, bathing, transferring and walking, transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and procuring of prescriptions are frequently provided as part of the senior care offered by Personal Care Service Providers.

Who provides these services?

The recipient of senior care has the option of designating a provider who in turn becomes an employee of Moore Center Services while co-employed by the client. Alternately, the individual seeking adult care authorizes Moore Options for Seniors to provide a Personal Care Services Provider through Moore Center Services.

Those individuals who offer senior care as Adult Foster Care Providers have homes licensed by the state of New Hampshire and supervised by Moore Options for Seniors staff.

All those who are employed by the Moore Center to provide adult care have to have a criminal check and drivers check with the state of New Hampshire. They participate in the Moore Center employee orientation as well as the College of Direct Support and an extensive computer based program, which results in their being designated as equipped to provide senior care as Direct Support Professionals.

What other services are available?

Adult respite care is available for individuals either in their home or in the home of a provider.
